What can I ask an in-person clinic?
Ask who will check your health, whether you can be examined during the visit and who answers questions afterward.
Ask for the visit cost even if the clinic advertises a treatment package. Include travel and time away when weighing your options.
What can I ask a licensed online service?
Ask who will review your history and whether you can ask that person questions. Find out who would arrange any needed exam or test in person.
As of September 2026, Washington requires the same care standards for an online visit as for a similar visit in person.
Can I just look up the clinic’s licence?
Check the licence of the person treating you. Washington’s Department of Health licenses those people; it does not issue a licence for the clinic or doctor’s office itself.
Get the name of the person assessing you, then check the matching record. Ask separately about the pharmacy.
What can I compare before paying?
What backs up the answer?
Washington / who has a record
Washington’s Department of Health keeps licence records for the people treating you. The clinic or doctor’s office itself does not get that kind of licence.
